Sky packages become even more popular due to increase HD and Broadband demands
British Sky Broadcasting plc has an increase in its revenue. According to recent reports, Sky’s current profits are higher than last year’s by around 10%. This shift comes as result of more and more customers opting for Sky’s most popular services – HD TV and broadband.
Given the current scene, on an average Sky customers are now paying an approximate of £525 for a yearly subscription, which is up from a fairly accurate last year’s figure of £500. That means, customers prefer to pay more for additional services like high definition television and popular broadband packages to their existing TV and broadband subscriptions.
Furthermore, it is Sky’s exceptional broadband and calls service that seems to be an attractive offer for more and more subscribers. The TV, broadband and calls giant was able to draw an approximate 150,000 broadband subscribers. This was followed by a further increase of around 147,000 fixed-line takers.
Among several other Sky packages, the most favored deal is where all of the three services are bound as a perfect combo. The most basic pack, Sky+ HD starter is popular with customers as this deal binds all the three Sky services that too at a nominal cost of £30.25 a month. The offer provides its subscribers with a Sky+ HD box and the standard set-up – all at no extra costs. Plus, Marks & Spencer voucher worth £25 is also included as a reward to the subscribers.
